Team Milram continues to take shape for 2009, with a new contract for Markus Eichler.  Eichler, from Mönchengladbach, extended his contract with the German ProTour team for two more years, through 2010.  In addition to the Spring Classics, the 26 year-old specialist for one-day races also rode the Giro d'Italia and the Deutschland Tour this year.

„We are happy, that in Markus we can keep someone on the team who fits with us not only athletically but personally“, said Gerry van Gerwen, Milram's General Manager.  „He is a good rider, who has proven himself in our team to be a good team player and helper.“

In addition to Markus Eichler, Tour captain Christian Knees and Dutch rider Niki Terpstra have also extended their contracts through 2010.  The 27 year-old Björn Schröder signed a one year contract for the coming year at the Vattenfall Cyclassics.  In addition, Team Milram has signed Germans Paul Voß (Team 3C-Gruppe), Johannes Fröhlinger, Matthias Russ, Thomas and Markus Fothen and Fabian Wegmann from Team Gerolsteiner, as well as Dutch rider Wim Stroetinga (Ubbink-Syntec) and Austrian Thomas Rohregger (Elk Haus-Simplon), as eight additional riders for the coming two years.
