Wim Stroetinga will represent the Netherlands at the Track World Championships in Pruszkow, Poland (March 25-29), and will look for medals in three disciplines.  The Milram rider will go for top placings in Madison, Scratch and the Points race.  After his World Cup win in Manchester, Wim Stroetinga is one of the favorites in the Scratch race.

Stroetinga, who over the winter took the Netherlands titles in Scratch, points and pursuit, is expected to do well in all three disciplines in Pruszkow.  Especially in Scratch: „That is his main discipline, everything is possible,“ said Gerry van Gerwen, General Manager of Team Milram.  „Since we won't be at the start of the Coppi e Bartali race, it is possible for Wim Stroetinga to start for his homeland at the Track Worlds.“

Immediately after the Track Worlds, Stroetinga will go to the Driedaagse De Panne, where he will ride for Team Milram in search of a stage win.  He last showed his good form at the Ronde van het Groene Hart, where he finished ninth.  Right after that race he left for Poland, to prepare himself for the title fight.

The time plan at the Track World Championships for MILRAM's  Wim Stroetinga:

Wednesday, March 25:
18:30, Point race, 40 km

Thursday, March 26:
19:00, Scratch 15 km

Saturday, March 28:
