Nils Velin was my uncle.
He was the son of Signe Velin who was married to Arvid Velin in 1910.
They lived in Uppsala and Nils got employed in tne beginnening of the 1920:ies by the former bicycle industry in Uppsala, AB Josef Eriksson with the brand "Fram" for some years.
In the 1930ths he moved to Nässjö in Småland and the bicycle industry there.
Some years later he got employed by the swedish bicycle industry Monark in Varberg, Sweden and got the head of the "Blue team" - i.e the racing team of Monark.

Anders Karlberg skriver om sin morbror:
Jag återkommer med mera data om min morbror som jag beundrade mycket. Jag glömmer aldrig när han kom med den tidens stora svenska cykelstjärna - Gunnar Lindgren - hem till mina morföräldrar och jag fick sitta med vid kaffebordet! Det var 6-dagarslopp och året var nog 1958, min morbror var lagledare för de "Blå" och speaker under loppet.
Han är död sedan många år. Tyvärr kommer jag just nu inte håg när. Men jag vet att han dog i Varberg, som var hans hemstad. Morbror Nils var född i Uppsala.
